Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Product Review Engineer to support our Executive Fleet Programs in San Antonio, TX.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Support in developing strong Structural and/or Electrical Liaison Engineering/Design Engineering group knowledge as needed to support the Commercial, Military, and Commercial Derivative aircraft fleets on contract for modifications, storage, annual and time based life cycle checks

  • Platforms being supported will be Executive Transport Fleet comprised of 737, 757, and 747. Other airframes maybe KC-46, 787, 777, KC-135, and E4

  • The candidate will primarily work 1st shift but may need to work 2nd shift, as well as weekends or daily overtime


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.


This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.


This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering

  • 3+ years’ experience with the design of structural and electrical rework/repairs to restore the aircraft or system to original design capability


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Previous Material Review Board experience or similar experience

  • Experienced in reading and understanding engineering models, drawings, specifications and various technical documentation

  • Experienced in researching engineering designs in order to develop defect solutions to product/ process issues for production or simple technical in-service issues

  • 5+ years’ experience of assisting with analyses, root cause analysis and drafting dispositions for non-conformances

  • 5+ years’ experience collecting, researching, and evaluating issues for product/process improvement opportunities that may include recurrent product issues

  • 5+ years’ experience with any of the following: avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting

  • Experience with executive interior installation/design

  • Experience with modification and repair on wide body aircraft


Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.


Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
