The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Software Verification & Quality Engineer to join the Space and Launch Team located in any of these locations: Aurora, CO, Chantilly, VA, Mountain View, CA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. Position Responsibilities: Actively participates in program activities, from initial proposal and planning to verification/certification and delivery Integrates software components into a fully functional software system Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics Acts as an independent set of eyes and ears for Program Managers and the customer, highlighting potential best practices on the team, as well as areas for improvement Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Security Clearance and Investigation Statements: This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with polygraph. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree. 5+ years of experience with Software Engineering development execution, processes, skills, technology, and practices 10+ years’ experience with software testing at different levels, including component, configuration item, subsystem, integration/system, and acceptance testing
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Familiarity with practices such as test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, continuous integration, and dependency management is preferred. Experience using cloud based infrastructure (AWS) Experience/knowledge of the GEOINT domain
Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
