Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Lean Practitioner Level 4 located in Portland, OR!

The successful candidate will be expected to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach with internal and external partners leveraging his/her knowledge of distribution & manufacturing processes (material flow & commodity integration) Lean Six Sigma, safety, quality, and productivity to design efficient processes & layouts integrated with a new system solution.

Execution of the One Boeing Production System needs to be incorporated into all design elements, satisfying the program & Supply Chain Fulfillment requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Instructs others in continuous improvement tools and principles.

  • Develops and updates instructional materials.

  • Supports the development and deployment of new tools.

  • Works with internal or external customers.

  • Leads and facilitates complex process improvement efforts.

  • Identifies risks and opportunities for improvement.

  • Creates enhancements to existing improvement tools.

  • Supports business acquisition. Participates in the evaluation process.

  • Mentors future instructors and less experienced practitioners.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing/operations experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience implementing Lean continuous improvement processes.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in assisting cross-functional teams.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience assisting implementation of Lean Production Systems & Principles.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Materials and parts distribution activities.

  • Project management experience.

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.

  • Large scale employee change management initiatives in transformational projects. 

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
