We are seeking an Entry Level Equipment Maintenance Technician (Level A) for a developmental role in our Boeing South Carolina (BSC) Facilities and Asset Management team located in North Charleston, SC.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Under direct supervision, provides basic support in response to trouble calls and becomes knowledgeable of customer service concepts

  • Under direct supervision performs basic repair and preventative maintenance of off-line equipment

  • Under direct supervision, uses hand tools in a variety of support functions

  • Will develop skill sets required for advancement to B level technician.

  • Will have the opportunity to shadow a qualified Journeyman technician

  • Will be periodically assessed in required competencies related to the position

  • Opportunity to receive specialized and on-the-job training

  • Will successfully complete required course work through Trident Technical College within required period

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • High School diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience as a machine repair/maintenance mechanic, NC electrician or similar technical/technician role repairing and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience working with detailed work instructions or reading & interpreting blueprints & drawings

  • Experience using Maximo or other Computerized Maintenance Software Systems

  • Entry level experience with programming, integrating or troubleshooting industrial robots (Kuka, Fanuc, ABB) and/or PLCs, NCs, HMIs, and Drives (Siemens, Allen Bradley)

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education
(e.g. high school diploma/GED).
