Boeing is seeking a Experienced Production Equipment Maintenance Technician (Level C) to support our Manufacturing Operations Support & Logistics (MO&SL) team in North Charleston, SC.

This position is for variable shift and will support Boeing South Carolina locations including the North Charleston Airport Campus and Ladson Facilities depending on business needs. You must be willing and able to work any shift including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Repairs and maintains equipment and demonstrates experience in these areas

  • Responds to trouble calls and resolves a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity

  • Follows safety procedures and regulations

  • Interprets basic schematics and diagrams

  • Utilizes a variety of hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair equipment

  • Works with electrical systems and electronic components of complex industrial machinery and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions

  • May provide guidance to less experienced employees

  • May receive specialized equipment training

  • Provides training to peers and customers on the general use of equipment

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years' of experience in equipment maintenance

  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics (preferably electrical, mechanical and pneumatic)

  • Experience utilizing precision measuring tools and equipment such as micrometers, calipers and dial indicators

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word

  • Experience in a customer facing role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

  • Experience with programming, integrating or troubleshooting industrial robots (Kuka, Fanuc, ABB) and/or PLCs, NCs, HMIs, and Drives (Siemens, Allen Bradley)

  • Experience troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLC)

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
