The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Corporate Investigations Metrics & Analytics team in Chicago IL.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing data, reporting trends and providing actionable insights on misconduct allegations and investigations, and ethics program elements.  

The Corporate Investigations organization is responsible for conducting investigations into allegations of misconduct related to equal opportunity, retaliation, information protection, safety and health claims, production, quality, accounting and financial reporting, and business integrity.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads in designing complex Business Intelligence information models, dashboards, metrics and reports utilizing standard technologies and methodologies that meet business objectives.

  • Uses analytical skills and strategic enterprise knowledge to synthesize and provide meaningful business intelligence, and draw conclusions based on data, KRIs, metrics and trends from multiple data sources to influence business strategy and performance

  • Interprets ethical landscape through data integration and analysis, creating insightful trend analysis and recommendations, analyzing root cause, identifying risk and opportunity potential, developing mitigation plans, and refining business cases

  • Leads the development and maintenance of ethics and investigations data processes to improve efficiency through the use of process methods and standards, tools and modeling, metric consultation and data analytics.

  • Develops effective visualizations, metrics reporting and narrative-based summary reports for internal stakeholders at different levels (executives, managers, peers), asking the right questions to understand requirement details and ensure accurate reporting, while leveraging current data sources and mining for new sources.

  • Compiles, creates and refines timely, accurate, and complex data translating raw operational data into meaningful dashboards, metrics and reports

  • Combines programming, SQL skills, best practices and business expertise to deliver efficient and scalable Business Intelligence solutions to improve business productivity and business outcomes.

  • Ability to work with multiple source systems, platforms and technologies

  

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or higher

  • 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics tools and applications (such as IBM Cognos Analytics, SQL, Tableau, Google Analytics)

  • Experience building intuitive and useful Tableau dashboards and data visualizations that drive business decisions 

  • Experience with programming languages such as R, Python, SAS or Java

  • Experience in database technologies, such as SQL Server, Teradata, Postgres, MySQL and/or NoSQL technologies (ElasticSearch, MarkLogic, Mongo)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in data structures and algorithms, and ETL experience

  • Demonstrated use of statistical modeling techniques to provide correlation analysis

  • Experience with ServiceNow Reporting and Performance Analytics

  • Experience utilizing data analytics to identify organizational/cultural risks and compliance systems that can effectively detect, prevent, and respond to compliance risks

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)
