The Boeing Supplier Management Strategic Initiative team is seeking a First Line Leader to join the team in Seattle, WA. This position will focus on supporting Boeing Global Services Supply Chain via the Global Parts Solutions team. 

This position will lead our Supplier Management Strategic Initiative team. The Supplier Management Strategic Initiative team partners with our vertical business team to implement advanced strategies to create cost stability, increase customer satisfaction and improve first pass quality. This team also challenges the status quo and removes roadblocks to enable efficiencies across the supply chain. From time to time, this team will also be responsible for order placement, adjustments and cancellations as required to support the business.   

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options: Seattle, WA

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and motivate employees

  • Develops and uses collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals. Builds rapport and trust among stakeholders and leverages the organization's dynamics to promote program goals by focusing on a shared vision.

  • Knowledgeable of how the business and organization operates; knowledgeable of policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization; understands the competition and the marketplace.

  • Effectively explores alternatives and positions through negotiation best practices to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties.

  • Practice goal-directed thinking and action in situations for which no routine solutions exist. Understand a problem situation and its step-by-step transformation based on planning and reasoning.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • More than 5 year of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain processes. 

  • More than 5 year of experience in Data Analysis.

  • More than 5 year of experience working in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines.

  • Able to travel 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Experience in strategic decision making

  • Experience in a self-directed role.

  • Communication skills and customer focus are critical to be successful in the role.

Typical Education/Experience: 

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience).

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
