South Carolina 787 Quality NDI Site Support Team in North Charleston, SC is seeking a reliable and proficient professional who works well across diverse groups and effectively collaborates across organizational boundaries.

The Quality Manager will be responsible for inspection activities, production control, process improvement, and Lean/BPS. In this role, there will be regular interaction with the cross-functional production support team, Operations, senior leadership, and regulatory agencies. This leader can efficiently implement solutions in an ever-evolving environment by relying on problem-solving, data, and analysis to drive decisions. Transformational leadership skills are necessary to build team engagement and lead quality team members in implementing key initiatives.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages, coaches, develops, and motivates employees across multiple Quality Management Job Families.

  • Develops and implements business plans, policies and procedures.

  • Understands and teaches current standards, policies and requirements.

  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality Management System.

  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.

  • Leads change and improvement across the production system.

  • Builds organizational and technical strategies.

  • Understands customer requirements and ensures they are satisfied.

  • Facilitates proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data.

  • Communicates with internal and external regulatory compliance officials in support of onsite audits.

  • Applies strong leadership and people skills while proactively problem solving.

  • Develops and communicates corrective action plans that drive defect elimination and first-pass quality.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role.

  • 3+ Non Destructive Inspection Experience

  • 3+ years working with and supporting Quality Management System (QMS).

  • 3+ years working Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).

  • Ability to work on the production floor supporting on-product conformance determinations.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Experience working execution to safety, quality, delivery & cost commitments, using the One Boeing Production System.

  • 3 + years in a production-related field such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality.

  • 3+ years working with cross-functional leadership doing collaborative problem solving while building lasting relationships.

  • 3+ years in Material Review Board processes.

  • Precision in written and verbal communication.
