Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Electrical Design Analysis Engineer (Level 3) for the Flight Simulation Labs Hardware Interface Systems group, located in Berkeley, MO.

The Flight Simulation Labs organization has expertise supporting marketing, design, development, integration, test and training objectives for Boeing Military Aircraft (BMA).  As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will create and implement solutions to complex problems that support lab development and execution of simulation environments for T-7 and F-15 programs.  This position will support the project execution for the full product design life cycle including: requirements, design, acceptance test procedures, and associated engineering maintenance support. This position is expected to be 100% onsite and engaged with our customers and the product.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Duties Include:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, engaging with multiple teams and being responsive to agile requirements and critical path customer need dates.

  • Work to design, procure, build, integrate, and test Special Test Equipment, including Flight Simulators, Trainers, Manned Flight Hardware Simulators, Facility Infrastructure and Avionic Test Benches.

  • Interact frequently with inter-organizational personnel and internal/external Program customers

  • Support root-cause analysis/troubleshooting to identify and sort actual problems from non-problems.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite

Export Control:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Electrical Engineering experience

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with mission systems AND/OR mission systems avionics

  • Experience with Boeing BDS aircraft avionics

  • Experience using JIRA

  • Experience with mechanical design engineering

Typical Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
