Boeing is hiring for Engineering Product Lifecycle Manager – Engineering Product Lifecycle to join the team in Everett, WA.

This position is with the 777X program in Everett, WA.  The 777X is a family of airplanes in development to improve the performance of the original 777 family of airplanes.  We are currently flight testing the 777-9, the longest, largest commercial airplane on the market.  We are also in the early development stages for the 777-8F, the largest freighter airplane on the market. The manager will be responsible for the integration of our engineering processes, tools and specific airplane level systems. The position will require strong collaboration skills to integrate across a broad range of engineering functions.

This role will manage up to 15 direct engineers and project managers engaged in leading the entire engineering team to successful test completion and certification of the 777-9 and design development of the 777-8F.  The team is responsible for the integrated engineering work statement, engineering tools, spatial integration, technical integration and formal design and safety reviews. 

Position Responsibilities:

This is a full-time, long-term assignment but there may be future opportunities to take on special additional assignments. The ideal candidate will also have both the background knowledge and the desire to dynamically shift priorities to take on additional cross-functional responsibilities, such as:

  • Manage and develop employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Engineering Integration and Product Lifecycle.

  • Develop and execute project and process plans; implement policies and procedures and set operational goals.

  • Support activities include implementation of new and updated process improvements and resolution of issues.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

  • Actively involved in daily operations when required to meet schedule or resolve complex problems.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 1+ years’ experience leading engineering team

  • 5+ years’ technical project management

  • 3+ years’ experience managing diverse and complex projects

  • Technical integration of complex systems
