Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for a Software Developer - Senior Level to join their Product Support Team in Seal Beach, CA or Renton, WA. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Aviation (BCA) Customer Support business organization.

A successful candidate will join our Product Support IT team providing the platform our engineers use for creation and release of all maintenance data products Boeing provides the operators and regulators to maintain their Boeing fleets. The applications you will be supporting are critical to the Boeing Company, Airlines, Lessors, Regulators and Maintenance Repair Operators around the world.

Position Responsibilities:

Ensure that IT systems and processes are developed and maintained in compliance with enterprise standards and are secure to enable efficient and effective operations
Provide end-to-end technical solution leadership and business process alignment through the delivery and sustainment of the software applications
Guarantee that non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are being considered when architecting solutions
Gather and analyze business requirements and design and develop complex software solutions that meet end user requirements
Apply software development knowledge and skills, follow standard processes for release and configuration management
Communicate effectively across the entire team, adapt quickly to changing requirements and have a strong customer focus
Provide leadership for developing and designing technical solutions by evaluating and identifying alternative solutions and recommendations for the most efficient and cost-effective application programming solutions and system architecture
Troubleshoot production issues and provide on-going support
Strong leadership and communication skills, self-starter that can guide the team of programmers through the completion of projects
Develop and execute unit test cases to ensure maximum code coverage
Provide guidance and training to junior team members and conduct code reviews as needed
Develop and maintain technical documentation per project standards
Work across time zones with a geographically dispersed team of developers
Adherence to SAFe agile development approach

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. Seal Beach, CA or Renton, WA

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Experience with leading large scale software development projects
5 or more years of experience with user interface front end Java and / or C++ Full Stack implementation
5 or more years of experience leveraging GIT lab CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools
Experience designing and developing web services and APIs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Java, JSP, LINUX, XML
Strong experience using Oracle/MYSQL for application interactions with databases
Experience with migrating applications to Cloud platform
Unix skills, Bash/korn shell, Perl, python, Oracle/SQL, Omnimark, c/C++, CORBA, GIT, SGML
DTD, EPIC FOSi, ACL

Typical Education & Experience:

Typically 9 or more years' related work or military experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
