The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Associate Mission Systems Software Engineer (Level 2) to join the Mission Systems Software team located in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. This is a software tester position.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Writes invention disclosures to protect Boeing Intellectual Property.

  • Prepares R&D proposals and presents to internal management and external customer.

  • Applies emerging industry technologies to develop test procedures.

  • Reviews critical procedures to identify potential problems and resolve issues.

  • Develops innovative design techniques, processes, methods, or concepts. 

  • Works under direct supervision. 

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret clearance Post Start is required. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering and/or a Technical discipline.

  • Experience with C++, Java or Ada.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working on an Agile Team.

  • Experience working with airborne radars or data links.

  • Experience working with distributed computing systems.

  • Experience working in a collaborative environment.

  • Experience working with Ada and Linux programming.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
