Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking a 2nd shift Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join the Production Engineering team located in El Segundo, CA.   

Position Responsibilities: 

• Participate on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines
• Lead and implement manufacturing plans
• Assist in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices
• Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions
• Resolve technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule
• Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems
• Implement lean principles and technologies
• This position is for 2nd shift. Some days and weekends may be required based on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.   An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
• 1 or more years experience in production engineering
• This position is for 2nd shift. Some days and weekends may be required based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

• Currently have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
• Experience working within an Integration Environment

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:  

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
