We are seeking a Senior Global Trade Control Specialist (Level 4). You will be joining a small team that enjoys a great deal of variety in our daily work.  Our team currently works a hybrid work schedule, with 1 to 2 days in the office each week.

You will directly support Commercial Derivative Aircraft Programs, with primary responsibility for the P-8 International Programs. This involves collaboration with internal business partners to understand the Business Development, Engineering, Production and Sustainment aspects of the business.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and execute trade strategies by anticipating Defense business needs, following defense regulatory policy, and crafting an executable plan to support the business

  • Prepare and submit trade authorizations to the Department of State and the Department of Commerce (agreements, licenses, exemptions and exceptions) to enable Boeing's global growth

  • Be familiar with other regulatory agencies and their impact on the aircraft

  • Provide internal training and regulatory guidance to program business partners on a variety of trade-related topics, such as dual/third country nationals, document marking and distribution, foreign visit requests, denied party screening, export logging, annual and semi-annual reporting

  • Act as an agent for change by helping evolve the global trade infrastructure at Boeing through data analytics, process change requests, and making connections that influence others

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience writing trade control authorities/export-import licensing

  • Experience developing & implementing a licensing strategy to meet contractual obligations

  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance and analysis

    

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Experience supporting Commercial Derivative Aircraft programs

  • Critical thinking and active listening skills

  • Self-motivated along with the ability to balance trade risks and compliance obligations

  • 5+ years of experience mentoring, leading, and teaching others

  • 10+ years of experience in a regulatory compliance role

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
