The Boeing Global Services is seeking a Mid-Level Customer Support Engineer to join our Commercial Derivative Service Engineering organization in Oklahoma City, OK, which provides engineering support services to the Air Force for their fleet of Boeing aircraft.  The successful candidate will evaluate aircraft and component Service Literature (i.e. Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, etc.); assist with scheduling upon receipt of Air Force disposition; and resolve a wide range of technical and operational issues to ensure the continued safe operation of the fleet.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze Original Equipment Manufacturer and Federal Aviation Administration Service Literature and provide recommendations tailored to the fleet.
  • Provide solutions intended to improve system performance and increase operational availability.
  • Support projects, perform research, and develop solutions to resolve Program issues.
  • Participate on teams to resolve a wide range of technical and operational issues associated with in-service aircraft, depot maintenance, and repair.
  • Assist in maintaining configuration control for the aircraft.
  • Participate in a multi-disciplined team to ensure customer contractual requirements are met.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location option.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship

An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics
  • 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical publications, and/or specifications
  • Experience gathering, preparing and analyzing technical data for the development of support products including logistics engineering, logistics support analysis, technical publications, support equipment, spares, provisioning, field services, maintenance, etc., supporting product life cycle

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience working with customers on aircraft service literature (Boeing, FAA, 3rd Party)
  • Experience working Boeing 747 platform engineering issues

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
