Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) is seeking an Associate Quality Production Specialist to join our Interiors Responsibility Center (IRC) team located in Everett, WA.

The Quality Production Specialist develops and administers the quality system that ensures the integrity of company products and services related to all models. This individual will perform material review board approval and dispositioning responsibilities. In this role, the candidate will collaborate and communicate with internal and external partners, including program executives, track and respond to supplier communication, and support program integration review meetings. The primary focus will be on supporting problem solving and escapements and evaluating for scope and boundary to capture and control nonconforming/suspect parts.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.

  • Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes.

  • Participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans.  

  • Applies basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.  

  • Gathers data and provides recommendations/solutions to nonconformance of plans, products or processes.

  • Assists with the development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action.

  • Assists in obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes and submits for review.

  • Supports concurrence and obtains commitments to support program resolution.

  • Participates and observes the validation associated with corrective action to assure nonconformance has been eliminated.

  • Verifies internal replication systems adhere to Company and regulatory standards and procedures.

  • Creates airplane specific airborne software packages.

  • Conducts audits to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements.

  • Assists in the creation of reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal distribution. 

  • Works under general supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

  • 1+ years of experience in collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data

  • 1+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS).

  • 2+ years of experience working with/involved with Corrective Actions or Root Cause Analysis

  • Ability to work 2nd shift (typically 2:00pm-10:30pm)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

  • Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.

  • Experience working with (CMES) Common Manufacturing Execution System

  • Experience in working defect reduction strategies within a cross-functional environment

  • Experience in Product Data Manager, Computer Aided Process Planning with fabrication detail planning in Assembly Detail Process Plans, Velocity, and Enterprise Resource Planner

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).
