Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Associate Quality Production Specialists to join our Conformity team based in Charleston, SC.

The Quality Production Specialist develops and administers the quality system that ensures the integrity of company products and services related to 787 Aircraft. Individual will perform material review board approval and dispositioning responsibilities. In this role, the candidate will collaborate and communicate with internal partners, including program executives, track and manage investigations and complete Root Cause Corrective Actions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Validate airplane configurations for conformance.

  • Assembly, coordination and submittal of conformity packages to ODA/I-UM/E-UM.

  • Conduct and document conformity inspections.

  • Review and validate product non-conformances and disposition for appropriate repair procedures per quality procedures, aerospace design and engineering requirements.

  • Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations.

  • Applies knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.

  • Trains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management System.

  •  Performs root cause analysis on the nonconformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrence. Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution. Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes.

  • Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolution. Reviews and validates the corrective action plans and identifies effectivity to ensure completion.

  • Creates analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distribution.

  • Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

  • 3+ years of experience in collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • Material Review Board (MRB) certification

  • Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.

  • Experience working with Velocity

  • Experience in working defect reduction strategies within a cross-functional environment

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:
