This individual will lead the capture of new business for advanced MILSATCOM for Government Satellite Systems (GSS), this includes acquisitions for both the US government and internationally. The Experienced Business Development Representative (level 4) will be accountable for leading sales and campaign activities as a Capture Team Leader (CTL) in accordance with the Boeing Integrated Business Acquisition Process (IBAP).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads in the development of campaign strategy and tactics using in-depth knowledge of customer needs, Boeing products and services, and competitive environment.
  • Leverages company resources to support customer commitments, gain a competitive advantage, and foster business growth by developing a detailed understanding of specific Boeing products and services, process and operations, and resources.
  • Gathers and analyzes relevant information (e.g., political environment and competitive assessment) from internal and external sources to support strategy development and alignment across the Boeing enterprise.
  • Initiates and advances customer relationships to be accepted as a trusted business partner by the customer.
  • Provides guidance to more junior employees regarding capturing and documenting detailed customer knowledge and assist in network development.
  • Identifies future business opportunities and promote the value of Boeing portfolio and partnership.
  • Leads review process with management by balancing customer expectations and Boeing resources.
  • Consults and influences decisions of Boeing senior level executives regarding business goals and objectives.
  • Leverages detailed understanding of the customers' processes, procedures, techniques, organizations and culture - specific knowledge of US Department of Defense (DoD) operations, tactics and acquisition.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred; or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with space, launch vehicle, satellite programs or other complex systems
  • Experience working with Military or DoD customers
  • Experience in running a new business campaign as a capture team leader or capture manager
  • Detailed understanding of United States Space Force (USAF) Space Systems Command (SSC)
  • Good interpersonal, leadership, and management skills as well as relentless customer focus are critical
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Thorough understanding of the Government (political) / Defense Requirements and Acquisition processes

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).
