The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) organization is looking for a first level Materials Management and Transportation Managers (Level K) to join the team in Algona, WA. This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate your management skills while operating autonomously as the leader on 2nd shift.

This leader will be able to see the big picture while working in a fast-paced organization. While leading this engaging team they will need to understand the strategic aspect of the organization and associated initiatives. They will use their knowledge to meet materials management goals and our BCA production customers’ expectations. They will lead teams and communicate with all levels of stakeholders, from the shop floor to our customers. They will work in a complex organization and leverage their knowledge of the company and multiple functional fields to meet supply chain management's internal and external customers’ expectations.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages, develops, and integrates employees’ activities across materials management and transportation.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

  • Translate strategic goals into tactical actions that are understandable to the team.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to work 2nd shift.

  • 3+ years of Material Management or Supply Chain Experience.

  • 3+ years of management experience.

  • 1+ years of inventory management experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher.

  • 3+ years developing, and coaching others.

  • 3+ years implementing process improvements and providing strategic business solutions.

  • 1+ year working in a shop/production environment.

  • 1+ year with Lean principles, continuous improvement, and/or One BPS.

  • 1+ year of experience working in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

  • 1+ year with the Boeing Production System (BPS).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $107,950 - $148,590
