Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking a B-52 CERP Avionics First Line Manager within the Bombers and Fighters division. The position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The position available is within the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP) and Avionics team.

Position Responsibilities include:

  • Manages teams performing engineering development of avionics.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, processes, proposals, labor and material estimates, team budgets and their associated performance.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience): 

  • 5+ years' experience in Systems Engineering.

  • 3+ years' engineering leadership (in lead or manager role).

  • 3+ years’ experience dealing with military customers.

  • 1+ years’ experience managing projects across cost, schedule, quality, and technical.

Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience): 

  • Best qualified candidates will typically possess 7 or more years of applicable experience in systems engineering with emphasis on avionics integration, engine integration or flight deck design with Air Force Military platforms.

  • Working knowledge of US Air Force regulations relative to areas such as quality safety, and air worthiness.

  • Excellent communications skills (internal to the organization and external to the customer).
