The Boeing Company is looking for a Business Operations Senior Leader supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Product Development (PD) Business Operations team in Everett, Washington.  

The PD Business Operations team is responsible for all aspects of running the Product Development business, on-behalf of the organization’s VP/GM, and for ensuring program management discipline in early development. The Business Operations organization is growing, to support the exciting, dynamic, and expanding business of BCA PD! To support this growth, the PD Business Operations leadership team is looking for qualified candidates to fill a critical position. As a senior manager on the team, in addition to the job-specific responsibilities, the qualified candidate will also partner with the rest of the leadership team to shape and drive the organization forward.

The Management System and Run-the-Business senior manager has primary responsibility for the design and execution of the PD management system, providing integrated and efficient staff analyst and business integration support across PD, and leading key initiatives.

This position is a hybrid position that allows some telecommuting. However, the selected candidate will be required to perform majority of work onsite in Everett, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute the rhythm of the business, digitally optimized for the complexity of the cross-functional, cross-discipline product development organization
  • Drive required actions, in partnership with enterprise stakeholders, to enable the innovative culture needed in PD, including facilities enhancements, expanded use of innovation centers/events, and deployment of a robust on-boarding strategy
  • Develop a team of business support and business operations specialists that drives efficient and effective business integration across PD
  • Manage work statement approval and execution, track progress to plan, and effectively manage associated risks, issues, and opportunities, across the complete PD portfolio
  • Maintain a relentless focus on developing the team – partner across functions to enable development opportunities within and outside of PD

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role
  • 5+ years of experience with program, project, management and/or business operations
  • 3+ years of experience working with executive leadership teams
  • 3+ years of experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partnerships across functions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Excellent business acumen, written and verbal skills, and ability to solve complex problems
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing others
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Experience utilizing of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), data analytics, tools and technology to measure and optimize outcomes
