Tapestry Solutions Boeing Global Services BGS is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist in Swansea, IL.

In this role you will support configuration management processes for the Global Decision Support System (GDSS) program, administering and maintaining configuration management software to ensure processes and standards are followed to meet contractual requirements. GDSS is the primary US Air Force Air Mobility Command (AMC) Command and Control (C2) system, and is a globally distributed enterprise class suite of applications designed, implemented and maintained by Tapestry Solutions. GDSS applications and services provide advanced mission planning, command and control for all phases of mobility operations (airlift, airdrop, and air refueling operations).  Users can visualize key aspects such as weather, flight plans, diplomatic clearances, and airfield details to quickly and efficiently determine mission status and make decisions in near real time.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Meet requirements of GDSS Performance Work Statement and Configuration Management Plan
  • Maintain Product integrity and traceability
  • Ensure Process accuracy and repeatability
  • Ensure Software Configuration Management (SCM) principles and processes are followed:
  • Configuration item identification, baselines and versioning
  • Change control
  • SDLC workflows
  • Configuration status accounting
  • CM audits
  • CM repository software administration
  • Build and Delivery process
  • Metrics and Process Improvement

This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at the Swansea, IL office.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience supporting and administering configuration management processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Comprehensive JIRA experience (change control, workflow administration, command line interface, story generator and packaging, postgres databases)
  • Fisheye/Crucible (Code reviews/Change Cross-Reference)
  • Git (Version control/baselines/backups)
  • Jenkins (CI/CD Build management and scheduling)

   

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor’s) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master’s).

Relocation:
