This requisition represents an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Integration Engineer (Level 3) for a Proprietary program in St Louis, MO.  This electrical/electronic integration position will be in support of developing Mission Systems avionics and sensors for the Bombers & Fighters Division of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), but will also have close working relationships with the Phantom Works and Autonomous Systems organizations.

While the specific details of this program cannot be disclosed in this forum, we are developing a variety of avionics and sensor components in support of this program specifically, supporting open architecture design constructs, and multi-use across Boeing MS programs.

In general, here are some of the key components this position will be supporting:

  • Radio Frequency (RF), Electro-optics, communications, and other sensor integration
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) hardware, software, and performance model development, requirements development, interfaces, and traceability.
  • Sensor supplier requirements development, technology evaluation, multi-discipline integration (power, weight, cooling, structure, aero, signature, operational analysis, etc)
  • Prototype hardware and software evaluation, lab integration, analysis, and test.
  • Production hardware and software development, integration, test, and validation/verification at later phases of the program.
  • Implementation of open architecture constructs like Open Mission Systems (OMS), Open Communication Standard (OCS); utilizing the Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI).
  • Integration of Multi-Function Apertures and Multi-Function Processor architecture for multi-use sensor applications.
  • Multi-Tier Resource Management (MTRM) integration for multi-function sensor aperture scheduling, arbitration, and skill integration.
  • Integration of AvionX Defense Mission Computing (DMC) target hardware.
  • Sensor performance analysis
  • Platform architecture and interface definitions

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support active sensor trade studies evaluating sensor performance, physical/logical/functional interfaces, MBSE model integration, and platform capability trades.
  • Support system integration lab infrastructure, interfaces, provisions to support end to end (prototype/demo through production) integration and test capabilities
  • Support integration of primarily Radio Frequency and Communications sensors, resource management algorithms, and open architecture framework development for a platform
  • Support sensor and other avionics performance via analysis, utilizing sensitivity and utility curve evaluations for performance, supportability, and affordability
  • Develop Cameo models for mission system components, interfaces, behaviors; and support requirements decomposition
  • Support supplier engagements and technology evaluations
  • Support cross-Boeing program mission systems interchanges for maximum leverage and re-use

We work in a casual but professional environment with multi-disciplined teams of engineers that take pride in developing, integrating, testing and delivering innovative solutions. There is long-term potential for career growth into technical leadership or management positions and we value the curiosity, tenacity and imagination our engineers bring to our teams each day.
