Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity for a Project Management Specialist (Level 4) to join our Business Intelligence & Architecture (BIA) team. In this role, the focus will be on leading and supporting several initiatives within BGS Total Quality, as well as other opportunities within our team.

Position Responsibilities

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Leader, first and foremost

  • Build and cultivate relationships

  • Confidently lead team, organization, stakeholder and Executive meetings when necessary

  • Driving the day-to-day activities to meet the overall project objectives

  • Develop project plans that identify resources, scope, goals, results, prioritization and budgetary needs

  • Host project meetings at least once a week with team and managers

  • Provide feedback, advice, project updates and inspiration to team members

  • Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness to complete successful projects (short and long-term goals)

  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed

  • Create a planning schedule

  • Secure funding for projects

  • Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected

  • Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change

  • Ensure that team members complete tasks according to the schedule

  • Identify if team members require further training and provide this training

  • Research industry trends and innovations

  • Prepare, coordinate and communicate progress reports for stakeholders and investors

  • Assist in conducting employee performance reviews

  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis

  • Lead cross-functional communication between project teams, external partners, etc. as needed

  • Drive resolutions to issues as required

Projects supported (but not limited to):

  • Analytics – Forecasting of metrics to predict impacting situations such as Corrective Action Reports (CARs), Rework %, Defects, First Time Quality (FTQ) %, Foreign Object Debris (FOD), Escapes, etc.

  • Systems Migration – Migrate all BGS Quality organizations to preferred systems in regards to simplification, resources and accuracy

  • Digital Transformation – Identify dependency mappings, streamline systems and implement automation wherever possible

This is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Experience in a role that required project management skills

  • Experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role

  • Experience in the implementation and use of Project Management Best Practices (PMBP) along with processes and methods

  • Experience developing and/or managing project schedules and budgets

  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and cross-functional teams

  • Experience using Microsoft Project, Primavera, or other project management tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • PMP, PMPP, Agile Practitioner or Scrum Master certification/s

  • Experience with waterfall as well as agile methodologies

  • Experience working on Digital Transformation, Systems Migration and Analytics projects

  • Experience developing and maintaining integrated schedules

  • Experience in Portfolio Management

  • Experience working with and addressing technical, managerial and executive level audiences

  • Experience working as a change agent and/or transforming businesses

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
