Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking to bring on an Airplane Production Systems Engineering Analyst.

This position is located in Long Beach, California.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Acquires information from internal and external sources on existing production system and future production system improvements
  • Perform analysis on the production system, supplier base, and processes
  • Perform aircraft level trade studies as part of an multidisciplinary conceptual aircraft design team
  • Perform analysis on cost as an independent variable (CAIV) for both recurring and nonrecurring cost
  • Present findings to leadership

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Systems thinking experience
  • Model development experience
  • Trade study experience
  • Manufacturing processes experience
  • Ability to communicate with diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Industrial assembly processes
  • Experience with aircraft production systems
  • Knowledge of aircraft certification requirements
  • Familiarity with MS Project and Microsoft Business Intelligence tools
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools including PowerPivot or Tableau
  • Comfortable presenting to senior leadership up to the executive level

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
