We are seeking multiple Mid-Level Technical Delivery Specialists to join The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team located in Heath, Ohio (35 minutes East of Columbus, Ohio).

These positions will be responsible for supporting design, development, test and sustainment of electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical products and test equipment/software in support of the U.S. Strategic Deterrence Systems (U.S. Air Force Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, U.S. Air Force & U.S. Navy Guidance Systems and other military programs). Other duties can include providing support role to engineers working on repairs for a variety of military (U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and foreign) customers.  Engineering responsibilities include reviewing test data, directing repairs, developing process improvements, capturing process changes, and solving problems brought about with new workloads and part obsolescence.  Close collaboration with program management, other functional engineering groups, operations and other functional counterparts is required.

This position may allow telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Determines document and technical data release requirements based on customer type and contract guidelines for multiple customers, aircraft models, airline accounts or programs.

  • Develops all publication elements for all levels of maintenance for a new or fielded major equipment system or multiple sub systems.

  • Collects, researches and analyzes source data.

  • Identifies source data inaccuracies and takes corrective action.

  • Processes customer data orders and resolves delivery issues.

  • Develops technical publication project plan, budget and baseline schedules.

  • Conducts customer technical data familiarization training.

  • Administers and resolves customer online technical content access issues.

  • Conducts peer reviews of completed publication elements.

  • Participates in or conducts customer technical and program reviews.

  • Works under general direction.

Basic Qualifications/Required Skills:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree

  • How many years’ of experience do you have with technical writing and editing?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Arbortext experience

  • 3 years’ experience with technical writing and editing

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Adobe)

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
