Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Fabrication & Fulfillment Environment, Health & Safety organization has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and diligent Environmental, Health & Safety Manager join the team in Auburn, WA

A successful candidate will have the ability to see beyond the horizon, and engage with teams and business partners to develop solutions with regards to encouraging an incident free workplace. The selected candidate will have experience in occupational safety and the ability to connect with a variety of professional subject areas is required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads and integrates employee activities across more than one environmental, occupational, health and safety field

  • Activities led include the planning and implementation of occupational, health and safety programs/processes

  • Develops and completes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and handles relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)

  • 5+ years of experience working with teammates and management to improve safety performance

  • 3+ years of experience teaching, coaching and developing others

  • Experience managing environmental programs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role

  • Experience with safety culture program development and support

  • Experience with safety process and/or procedures in a manufacturing or operations environment

  • Experience with OHSAS 18001 and/or ISO 14001

  • Experience maintaining an Occupational Health and Safety Management System and Environmental Management System

  • Experience with implementing lean manufacturing principles

  • Experience with safety culture-based concepts

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
