The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Lead Mission Computing Operating System  and ICC RIC/team member (Level 4) to join the NATO Software team located in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. This position will work for the NATO AWACS program Mission Systems Software.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Writes invention disclosures to protect Boeing Intellectual Property.
  • Prepares R&D proposals and presents to internal management and external customer.
  • Applies emerging industry technologies to develop test procedures.
  • Reviews critical procedures to identify potential problems and resolve issues.
  • Develops innovative metro-logy design techniques, processes, methods, or concepts.
  • Oversees the integration of new design and manufacturing techniques into test hardware/system designs.
  • Analyzes processes for potential improvements and recommends associated changes.
  • Develops the standard policies for post-test activity.
  • Resolves or oversees resolution of special test procedures.
  • Works with the enterprise test and engineering group to standardize evaluation techniques.
  • Formulates expectations for test data for new or unique tests.
  • Trains and coaches others.
  • Train/mentor new FLEP team members on the flep_test tool
  • CORBA usage
  • Flep_test structure
  • How to implement new code
  • Coordinates with  system Architect 
  • Coordinates with DevOps focal
  • Assists in merging appropriate code from OA to lab environment
  • Assists in OA type activities but conducted in the lab
  • RIC/ICC usage of C++, Cmake
  • Develops processing of ICC/RIC cards to be used in FLEP program (Creates multi-threaded realtime solutions)
  • Implements ICD/IDDs from the old system through thorough understanding
  • Ensure consistent, correct and maintainable code is created
  • Reviews AMCP Code in the lab (debugging during integration/ harmonizing design and coding approaches as appropriate
  • Assist in debugging the hard problems of integration that span multiple teams’ code.
  • Works under consultative direction.

Workplace:  

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Oklahoma City, OK.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering and/or a Technical discipline.

  • 4+ years’ experience with C++, Java or Ada.

  • 10+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working on an Agile Team.

  • Experience working with airborne radars or data links.

  • Experience working with distributed computing systems.

  • Experience working in a collaborative environment.

  • Experience working with Ada and Linux programming.

  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-6016.

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
