Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for an Entry Level Manufacturing Planner to join the Mesa PE-ME Team located in Mesa, AZ.  The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in development, implementation and maintenance of various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists in development, implementation and maintenance of various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.

  • Assists in the identification of tooling requirements and processing tooling orders based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.

  • Assists in investigation and resolution of manufacturing related issues.

  • Collects data to support producibility assessments for part or product designs.

  • Assists in developing work statements and sequencing of limited scope with internal business partners. Assists in the review, maintenance and monitoring of internal documents.

  • Works under close supervision.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Associated Degree or Equivalent experience

  • Experience in manufacturing planning

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with LEAN principles

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products

Preferred (Desired) Qualifications:

  • Ability to collaborate with engineers, mechanics and management in a production environment

  • Continuous improvement aptitude

  • Experience with Microsoft Access or SQL databases

  • Experience working with Apache production support, Composite support, Metals support, and Electrical support.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
