This position is supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes Supply Chain Propulsion Business Operations organization at the Propulsion South Carolina (PSC) location. PSC is BCA's center of excellence for Nacelle development and is a unique set up of design, manufacturing and aftermarket support in one facility. This position leads the business baseline management of the site as well as cross functional integration to support deliverables to product development, development programs, parts production supporting 737 and 787 Programs and Boeing Global Services aftermarket support.

Propulsion South Carolina is currently seeking a Business Operations Specialist to join their team in N. Charleston, SC!

Primary Responsibilities:            

  • Assists in the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies and processes to meet business goals for authorization, such as sourcing strategy for commitment of work, cost imperatives, deployment analysis and impact mitigation.
  • Supports the coordination and clarifies the analysis with business partners to validate results and determine scope to meet long range business goals and develop business case.
  • Coordinates the commitments with internal and external organizations to fulfill strategies.
  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.
  • Meets with leadership to gain approval. Provides implementation direction for work authorization.
  • Collects, organizes and provides data according to established processes within the management system to maintain status of programs, customer and supplier commitments and compliance.
  • Ensures follow up action for issue resolution.
  • Provides coaching and guidance to less experienced personnel.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 3 or more years’ of experience analyzing data, performing trend analysis, and compiling reports.
  • 3 or more years' as a Project Management Specialist utilizing standard project management tools demonstrating requirements development, planning, and execution.
  • 1 or more years’ of experience preparing for and supporting senior level leadership reviews.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 1 or more years’ experience working closely with Operations to manage statement of work.
  • 1 or more years’ ability to apply systems thinking to understand inter-relationships of business decisions.
  • 3 or more years’ experience working in Business Operations, or Finance related or planning related field.
  • 1 or more years’ of experience leading various problem solving methods (i.e. Root Cause Analysis, Boeing Problems Solving Model (BPSM), 5 Whys, or other assessment, audit and investigative models).

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
