Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Everett, WA is seeking an Experienced Project Management Specialist to support the new Enterprise Software organization.  

Primary Responsibilities:
•    Managing software projects in Avionics, Environmental Controls, Flight Controls, or Propulsion Systems involving development and qualification /certification of software and electronic systems for Enterprise Software Teams.
•    Develops project plans and deliverables, directs all project phases, and acts as primary contact to project stakeholders.
•    Participates in or develops mechanisms for establishing, monitoring, and integrating project elements, product configuration, and communications concerning change management processes and decisions.
•    Performs project management activities in accordance with accepted project management standards.
•    Coordinates the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project team, finance, planning, and scheduling and line management.
•    Uses trend, variance analyses and risk assessments and mitigations to develop plans or to recommend change.
•    Negotiates project changes and incorporates changes into project control systems to maintain work statements, cost and schedule baselines.
•    Transitions projects to customer for on-going support.
•    Performs project close-out and documents lessons learned.
•    Demonstrates a sense of urgency and responsiveness to complete work and solve problems, with a drive to persevere when faced with ambiguity
•    Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards).
•    Oversight, and management responsibility (including performance mgmt & reporting) for a portfolio of small to medium size projects in support of organizational the goals and objectives.
•    Identifies key stakeholder project specific objectives and requirements.
•    Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan.
•    Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans.
•    Provides assessment of team performance to appropriate management.
•    Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation.
•    Provides in depth analysis; identify lessons learned, provide historical reports to incorporate into future project plans.
•    Provides input of team member performance to management, where appropriate.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
•    10 or more years’ of experience with project management, program planning, business operations or industrial engineering.
•    10 or more years’ of experience interfacing with first-level, mid-level, senior, or executive leadership.
•    10 or more years’ of experience in advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
•    Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project and/or Milestone.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
•    Bachelor's degree (or higher) in business or project management.
•    Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical personnel at all organization levels including suppliers and customers.
•    Demonstrated leadership for driving issue resolution and mitigating technical risk.
•    Experience working with certification related activities and/or certification authorities (FAA, EASA, etc)

Typical Education/Experience:
•    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
