Position Responsibilities:

As a DevOps Engineer you will work in a team to develop the environment and infrastructure necessary to power the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) model for multiple product releases. DevOps Engineers have the opportunities to collaborate across Engineering, Information Technology, and Quality Assurance team boundaries to implement the tools and processes needed to execute the test program for a series of production space vehicles.

  • Manage, maintain and monitor the build processes
  • Create and document release packages
  • Configure and Control release packages
  • Maintain the software and hardware configuration of our Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) test sets
  • Maintain software baseline across our classified and unclassified development

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • BS degree in engineering, computer science, physic or related technical field
  • 5 years or more of experience on aerospace platforms or similar highly regulated products

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Windows system administration
  • Experience with open source Ball Aerospace COSMOS operations and test system
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, CMake, GTest
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, C/C++, Ruby
  • Experience with databases
  • Experience working on a DevOps team
  • Administration experience with tools for CI/CD, bug tracking, version control, and build automation
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working across multiple disciplines in a rapid development environment
  • Prior history working in a classified environment
  • SSBI investigation highly desired ++

Typical Education & Experience

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
