Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has a great opportunity for a Senior Lead Electrical Engineering Technical Designer Level 5 to support Executive Transport in San Antonio ,TX.

This position will serve as technical support for Avionics, Flight and Mission Hardware engineering.

Position Responsibilities:

  • SME for the development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Directs validation of documentation and incorporation of complex design hardware changes and interface specifications.
  • Leads tests and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Provides innovative resolution of problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 7 or more years working with aircraft system

Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 7 or more years of work experience in avionics EE Technical Design
  • 7 or more years experience working with avionics architectures on a defense program
  • Experience troubleshooting complex issues where the root cause may not be immediately clear
  • Experience interfacing with DoD customer
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).
