The Export Team is seeking an experienced Transportation Analyst (Level 2) to join our team in Dallas, TX. The job provides many opportunities to work with various transportation aspects. The transportation Analyst will also be assigned to work other task as a Boeing authorized Individual (AI) to perform classification determinations using ITAR and EAR regulatory.


This position will require strong technical collaboration with the Boeing Engineering community, Global Trade Control Specialists, Program Export Integration, and other Export Control Authorized Individuals in support of U.S. Federal export control jurisdiction and classification determination related to Boeing Product Standards. The export determination statement of work for this position has enterprise-wide impact on all Boeing Product Standards used in the production systems throughout the company.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options:  Dallas, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepares shipping documents and retains shipping records. Investigates loss and damage claims.

  • Ensures transportation compliance by certifying the shipment of dangerous goods.

  • Gathers and analyzes information to evaluate and recommend shipment options and prepare transportation plans.

  • Prepares and communicates shipment routing instructions

  • Provides liaison information, instructions and coordination on international and domestic freight shipment

  • Prepares and transmits export documentation, maintains import and export licenses and classifies goods according to export regulations

  • Develop communication related to export compliance

  • Develop and provide input to the development and update of processes and procedures in support of export compliance within the organization

  • Review engineering documentation and assign export jurisdiction and classification determinations

  • Review Jurisdiction and Classification Information Notifications (JCIN) issued by GTC Compliance/Monitoring and update ExDocs, EDRT and Gold accordingly

  • Researching the US Census Foreign Trade website to determine the Schedule B number. Informing the group when completed for final input.

  • Interact with stakeholders to resolve requests in a timely manner

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • 1+ year of  experience working with import and export licenses and regulations for maintain compliance with transportation regulations for international and domestic shipments

  • 1+ Year of experience performing classification determinations using ITAR and EAR regulatory and company resources such as Drawings, and Technical Manuals.

  • Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge with systems such as: Haystack, Drawings, and Technical Manuals, EDRT,Exdocs, Gold, and REDARS

  • Experience with Export Control, Transportation, Warehousing, and Freight Forwarding a plus

  • Experience with schedule “B” and HTS classifications

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Experience with technical writing and editing

  • Experience with C-17 Web Technical Order

  • Experience with ITAR and EAR regulations

  • Bachelor Degree or higher preferred

Typical Education Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience , 7 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
