The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced Technical Product Management Specialist based out of Englewood, CO. This role will provides technical expertise, research, and analysis representing Portfolio MGT in support of the integration of tools, systems, or processes of the Jeppesen Data Manager (JDM) and the Jeppesen Integration Toolkit (JIT). 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a liaison between the production organization and information technology professionals, providing validation of end user roles and expertise in regards to production system functionality, interoperability, and dependencies. 
  • Collaborates with end users, requirement analysts, architects, and developers during all phases of the development lifecycle. 
  • Translates business requirements into functional specifications used for software development planning, development, and testing.
  • Leads and facilitates pre-production activities to ensure the effective and efficient integration of new tools, systems, and processes deployed to the production environment.  Effectively leverages available resources to accomplish defined pre-production activities.  Collaborates with appropriate internal service and quality organizations to ensure new processes, tools, and/or data meet business, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts technical research and analysis on proposed system development, enhancements, and/or data modifications to help determine feasibility, cost, impact, and compatibility with current production systems and/or business architecture.
  • Coordinates, facilitates, and leads User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.  Supports system testing activities, as required.
  • Defines, collects, analyzes, and validates metrics in regards to business, system, and process performance to enable timely and effective decision making.  Analyzes performance metrics for trends, researches issues, and proposes resolutions.
  • Regularly contributes to the development of new job practices, techniques, and standards. Recognized as a job expert within the department/organization.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
  • Performs work with minimal direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
  • Effects of decisions are long lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results may result in the significant expenditure of company resources.
  • Serves as subject matter expert to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.
  • Design and own technical strategy for the product line
  • Track, analyze, and improve metrics from voice of the customer
  • Provide training for users, sales, and support staff (business and technical)

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

 

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working on an agile software development team supporting mobile (iOS) and desktop (Win, Mac) applications
  • Experience with APIs (JDM has Software Development Kits (SDK) that we have integrated with OEMs)
  • Experience working Scaled Agile/Scrum team
  • Experience with SaaS (AWS, Azure)
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • User Interface Design best practices

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Working knowledge of DO-178
  • Avionics experience a plus

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +7 years' related work experience, 12 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: 87,100 – 152,100
