The Boeing Company is actively seeking an Associate Hydraulic System Actuation and Control Engineer to join the Air Vehicle Subsystems Team of the Phantom Works Division located in Berkeley, Missouri.

Position Responsibilities Include:

• Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment

•  Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers

• Performs detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations

• Performs spatial integration at system or component level and modification of Hydraulic Actuation and Control systems and potentially mechanisms and landing gear components

• Assists in preparing technical documents for hydraulic and mechanical components and systems

• Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts

• Works under general supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

• 1+ year(s) of system design associated with mechanical and fluid systems that are used to control or regulate thermal environments on aircraft

• Experience using NX/Teamcenter, CATIA/ENOVIA, Model Based Definition, GD&T, 2-D drawings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance

• Relevant military or commercial aircraft experience

• B.S. or higher in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
