Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Engine Management Operations Program Manager (Level 5) based in Seattle, Washington.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Engine Management Operations Support to Delivery Centers

  • Act as communications link for delivery activities between Delivery Center, Propulsion management, airline customers and engine companies

  • Communicate significant propulsion related delivery issues to management

  • Lead coordination on customer unique engine actions (e.g. engine bore scope)

  • Lead engine related delivery center and engineering improvement activities

  • Occasional weekend coverage as needed

  • Support Contracts and Customer Engineering During Delivery Process

  • Lead/integrate technical and operational guidance to resolve customer issues

  • Act as integrator/facilitator for multiple groups to work delivery issues

  • Lead engine companies to obtain comfort letters and or delivery commitments letters to customers, as required

  • Quality Issues

  • Provide information to support customer request for root cause analysis on engine issues

  • Provide customer feedback on the above results

  • Cost Recovery

  • Track and document disruption costs in Engine Management database for quality issues, flight squawks, and customer pickups as required

  • Validate disruption events with local engine company reps prior to submittal to engine company

  • Engine Company Support

  • Provide prioritization and assistance for incorporation of technical and quality requirement

  • Provide engine companies required Boeing training and access to Boeing systems

  • Support throughout value stream and ad hoc projects to support Engine Company, Delivery Center, and Customer activities

This position is 100% on site in Seattle, WA. The selected candidate also may occasionally be required to work onsite in Renton, WA

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher in an ABET accredited course of study in engineering, computer science or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management

  • 10+ years of experience coordinating the operational aspect of ongoing projects, and servicing as a liaison between project and team, finance, planning, scheduling and management

  • 10+ years of experience in communicating to employees, customers, peers and multiple levels of leadership.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience

  • Experience in a team environment

  • Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).
