A senior-level Quality Specialist will develop scope, schedule, plans and leads hardware and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements.  Communication and organizational skills are key as this position will work with the Quality team, Management, DCMA and customers.

This position will be hybrid as the selected candidate will work both virtual and in the office. 

Position Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
  • Support the maintenance of a compliant BGS Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), and Aerospace Standard (AS9100) through conducting internal audits.  Develops scope, schedule, plans and leads hardware and system level audits to determine compliance.
  • Support Q-Pulse Administration and train others as needed to use the system
  • Support issue resolution, metrics and develop common checklists
  • Support management reviews and the BGS Internal Audit Community of Practice
  • Perform benchmarking of Enterprise and industry best practices 
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system.  This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years Quality / AS9100 / Quality Processes / Lead Auditor experience
  • 3+ years of nonconformance reporting, reading blueprints and working with requirements
  • Excellent organization skills, communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree from an accredited course of study
  • Previous work in aerospace, manufacturing, quality or another highly regulated industry
  • ASQ Certified Quality Auditor
  • Experience working multiple projects

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
