Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Mid-Level Employee Development Specialist to support our team in Everett, WA.

The Fab ‘Interiors Responsibility Center’(IRC) training support team is seeking Mid-Level Employee Development Specialists to join their team in the Everett IRC, 40-56 building. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience in manufacturing operations and training others.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct learning delivery utilizing a variety of delivery methods, techniques and platforms
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide learning consultation services
  • Provide extensive professional & technical assistance in both formal classroom and on-the-job learning.
  • Render professional assistance to resolve difficult or unusual problems
  • Facilitate work teams, providing necessary training, and leading problem resolution and process improvement
  • Continue broadening/deepening areas of expertise to ensure flexibility across the collective statement of work (SOW)
  • Interpret regulations and standards, ensure delivery of learning complies with commercial, government, regulatory and organizational standards and specifications
  • Emphasize safety precautions to be taken as applicable
  • Assist Functional Development by serving as a SME
  • Edit existing solutions or create temporary solutions to meet a unique and/or urgent business need
  • Able to work multiple shifts and at multiple sites within the Puget Sound region - some out of region travel may be required

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience performing aircraft manufacturing operations in one or more of the following domains: Interiors Fabrication, Assembly, Mechanical, or Quality Assurance environment
  • Experience training and/or mentoring in a technical environment
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical data

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

Experience in Commercial Aircraft interiors fabrication as follows:

  • IRC Inserts, Part 1
  • IRC Inserts, part 2
  • Tab and Slot Assembly and Bonding Inspection
  • Decorative Laminates - Application Method V
  • Oxygen Type IIb: Interiors Oxygen
  • Experience transferring knowledge through formal or informal modes of training
  • Experience and ability to demonstrate skills associated with aircraft operations and maintenance i.e. aircraft servicing, jacking, towing, fueling/de-fueling, component installation/removal, etc.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience).

Relocation:
