The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Integration Engineer (Level 3) to join the Advanced Kill Chains team in Sensors and Special Programs team located in St. Louis, Missouri.


This advanced capability team is looking for a self-starter to act as a technical lead on one of many projects. In the role, this individual will develop and lead execution of the statements of work (SOW) to satisfy study, analysis, and implementation activities while also developing new and follow on concepts that will expand capabilities of multiple weapon systems.

Position Responsibilities:

  • The qualified candidate must have a thorough knowledge of system integration and experience as a project or development lead.

  • The candidate must also be a self-starter with strong communication skills who can work independently across teams and to coordinate work scope.

  • The engineer filling this role should have a thorough knowledge of design and engineering principles in the fields of airborne mission systems and tactical networks. Successful candidates will be part of a multi-disciplined team chartered with analysis and development of capabilities across multiple platforms.

  • The candidate must have experience working with networked system of systems, product investigations, system integration, and system troubleshooting.

  • The successful candidate will have the ability to coordinate and lead study, design, prototyping, and analysis efforts across a diverse team, which may include customers, suppliers, and other agile teams. They will also prepare and present outcomes, assessments and corrective action initiatives to Boeing management and senior customer leadership.

  • The candidate must have strong communication skills to work across teams and to coordinate work scope. This role has the additional responsibility for creating, maintaining, and executing plans to coordinate and complete work scope in an agile environment.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Export Control:

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Ability to gain special program access via a T5 Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

  • Three (3) or more years of experience leading effective engineering teams

  • Three (3) or more years of experience with program execution and technical leadership.

  • Engineering project leadership experience including scope, planning, scheduling and execution of complex projects.

  • Experience preparing and briefing senior level executives and officials.

  • Experience with Agile development (SAFe Agile)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with system engineering life-cycle and large-scale systems integration.

  • Experience with Cost Account Management, Earned Value Management.

  • Experience with balancing cost, schedule, and technical risk to meet program and customer objectives.

  • Experience with interfacing directly with internal and external customers, to include government customers

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
