The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Senior Manager (Level M) to join the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) team located in Berkeley, MO.  This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) is a highly specialized field that is critical to the success of Development programs.  The senior manager will have the responsibility to develop an approach and strategy for successfully supporting all E3 activities at the Berkeley/St. Charles' site.  They will interface and partner with Technical Experts, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Customers, and Suppliers at multiple levels of the organization to ensure compliance to design integration requirements and program execution.  Individuals will also be expected to manage assignments on time, within budget, while delivering high quality results.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electromagnetics Environmental Effects (E3)

  • Develop and complete project and process plans

  • Implement policies and procedures and set operational goals

  • Acquire resources for projects and processes

  • Develop and cultivate relationships and partnerships with customers, team members, peers, and partners

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Lead, develop and motivate an inclusive team of employees

This position currently allows for telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite.

Security clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance post start, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 10+ years of engineering related experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Systems Engineering integration and test of platform systems

  • Experience with Electromagnetic Environmental Effects

  • Experience leading or managing teams and/or projects.
