Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a proactive Senior Quality System Specialist to join the 747/767 Core Quality Business Intelligence team in Everett, WA. The Core Quality BI team is responsible for supporting 747/767 program-level quality by providing visibility, analytics, improvements and solutions that directly support our Quality Management System (QMS) and overall operational performance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads team members in analysis of process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of sophisticated problems and development and implementation of preventive or corrective actions.
  • Apply Detailed Problem Solving techniques to identify root causes and develop preventative and corrective actions with collaborators and see those solutions through to implementation and verification of efficiency.
  • Use statistical methods and quality tools to continuously improve process capability and optimize verification methods.
  • Discovers new opportunities and solutions for problems by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking. Tries different and novel ways to deal with work problems and opportunities.
  • Conducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to management.
  • Works under minimal direction.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a multi-functional environment and/or business unit teams.
  • 5+ years of experience working with statistical data analysis and presenting the results.
  • 5+ years of experience in a previous role where meticulous attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality was paramount.
  • Must possess proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Access).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with QMS (Quality Management System).
  • ASQ Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, Master Blackbelt).
  • Be a self-starter who is not afraid to pro-actively seek information and direction to efficiently complete the statement of work.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through sophisticated education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Shift Work Statement:

This position is for 1st shift.

Statement of Work:

This position will be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.
