Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking two highly skilled Systems Engineering leaders, to work on the Korean AEW&C program in Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) management positions.  The Korean customer is pursuing both near term and long term upgrades for their fleet of 4 aircraft operating out of Kimhae AFB in Busan South Korea.  Near term program upgrades for the Peace Eye fleet include mission computing hardware and software, datalink, crypto modernization, and Identification Friend or Foe Mode 5 Interrogator & Transponder, to meet mandatory USG compliance updates.  Longer term upgrades include additional aircraft and other system upgrades and capability enhancements to meet future needs.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES      

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Engineering leader for Systems Engineering processes and products on the program - primary advisor to program Chief Engineer
  • Execution and leadership of specialty engineering, covering: human factors, reliability, maintainability & test, electromagnetic compatibility, system security and safety on the program.
  • Leadership and customer coordination on certification, including airworthiness, AIMS and JTIC.
  • RAA for requirements development, system architecture, interface management, system design, verification planning and FCA (including all changes).
  • Engineering Leadership of Enterprise Standard Gated Process (ESGP) as applied to the program.
  • Establishes a culture of proactive technical guidance, risk management and rapid issue resolution, providing alternative paths for issue resolution and an open dialogue on technical issues.
  • Implements and enforces engineering functional excellence in people, processes, tools, and practices; drive productivity improvements through the use of the lean principles disciplines; and share best practices and lessons learned.
  • Cost Account Manager (CAM) for SEIT.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, in the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation
  • 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • 2 or more years’ experience leading engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in system integration, verification and certification.
  • Experience in engineering of large-scale systems and overall systems engineering disciplines.
  • Experience working with AEWC aircraft or command and control aircraft platform.
  • Experience in military aircraft modification programs.
  • Experience working with international customers.
  • Ability to adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events.
  • Highly motivated and must work well in a team environment.
  • The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
