The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Safety Specialist to join the team in Sacramento, CA

This is a critical hire for a Boeing Global Services (BGS) program that requires collaboration with both Program Leadership and the US Government customer at a classified site. The selected candidate will lead critical environmental regulatory compliance programs and Safety Programs to meet company committed goals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepares compliance and technical reports to meet Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements

  • Acts as primary site collaborate with regulatory agencies

  • Prepares and submits permit applications

  • Performs program reviews, investigates incidents and provides corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of incidents

  • Evaluates workplace hazards

  • Provides input to new business opportunities and facilities projects to ensure compliance

  • Conducts education and training to support regulatory and business requirements

  • Evaluates impact of new regulations on company operations

  • Reviews vendor, contractor and supplier activities for EHS compliance for site processes and program goals

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience regulatory compliance support

  • 3+ years of experience conducting site regulatory compliance audits

  • 3+ years of experience in customer focused Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role leading diverse teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work or military experience

  • Experience in Aviation and/or Aircraft

Typical Education & Experience:

Typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
