Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for an Experienced Lean Practitioner (level 3) based out of Salt Lake City, UT.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives;

  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements;

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes;

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers. Instructs others in continuous improvement tools and principles;

  • Assists in formatting updated training materials. Leads and facilitates (Lean tool certified) process improvement efforts. Supports advanced continuous improvement tool application;

  • Participates in strategy development. Conducts Beta tests on new tools.
     

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience;

  • 3+ years’ experience establishing and implementation Lean practices, production systems & principles;

  • 3+ years’ of experience analyzing data, identifying opportunities and making recommendations for value stream improvements.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in a team environment.

  • Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience.

  • Lean Manufacturing experience in an automotive or aerospace industry;

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification;

  • Lean Manufacturing experience in an automotive or aerospace industry;

  • Experience and working knowledge of employee involvement and employee engagement strategies;

  • Ability to travel 10%.
     

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
