Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for a Shipside Operations Specialist (level 2) based out of Salt Lake City, UT or West Jordan, UT.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides coordination and oversight of shipside manufacturing operational issues and activities that affect production cycle time, quality, and efficiency;

  • Gathers information concerning previously identified issue, coordinate with appropriate resource and track issues to resolution;

  • Applies process management and process improvement techniques to support root cause and corrective action of repetitive issues;

  • Utilize resources including issue tracking system to document, communicate, and provide visibility of issue resolution;

  • Facilitates work teams, provides necessary training, and supports problem resolution and process improvement;

  • Assist with activities across multiple functions to coordinate resolution of emergent issues in support of specific operations;

  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria;

  • Provides limited feedback on assessment results. Support the teammates in implementation of strategies and plans. Works under general supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years’ experience using SAT;

  • 1+ years of experience in operations analysis or operations research;

  • 1+ years of experience working in manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working in an LSCC;

  • Experience leading projects or process improvements;

  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem solving skills;

  • Experience interacting between departments/disciplines and engaging in their products/processes (e.g. operations, business);

  • Experience creating KPI’s\metric generation (using Tableau, Excel formulas and functions), dashboards;

  • 1+ years’ of experience working with Microsoft Office tools (Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word).

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).
