The Ground and Training Systems team is currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Level 2 to join the Hardware Design, Manufacturing, and Operations (HDMO) team in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organization. In this role, the successful candidate will contribute to the engineering design and manufacturing efforts for multiple programs in support of E-3, E-7, and B-52.

  • Support the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
  • Participate as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support the integration of technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Support the development, identification and implementation of conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
  • Participate in the implementation of manufacturing plans.
  • Investigate technical problems.
  • Participate in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
  • Interfaces with IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plans, implements, and maintains various manufacturing plans supporting several systems.
  • Develops “Bill of Materials” and work instructions to define and document system build configurations.
  • Leads various integrated product teams in performing producibility assessments of design concepts.
  • Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Works under minimal direction.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering or Aerospace related field, from an ABET accredited program
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with the Goldesp system.
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile methodology
  • Basic Knowledge of Design Concepts
  • Basic Understanding of Mechanical & Electrical Design Techniques
  • Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools

Typical Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Hybrid:

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform at a minimum two days per week work onsite at our Oklahoma City Location.

Shift – This position is for 1st shift
