The Boeing Company is actively recruiting Aerospace Engineers interested in pursuing a career as an Associate Aerospace Engineer at Hill Air Force Base, UT. Boeing Defense and Space Systems is growing in the area of aircraft, missile, weapons and autonomous system Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C) system design, development, integration and test. Flight Engineering is looking for motivated, talented engineers to join the Boeing team in this exciting business area.

Selected candidates will support sustainment of the Minuteman III weapon system in Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C) areas including Test Flight Performance Analysis, Accuracy, Reliability, and Field Support. The selected candidates will have visibility into G&C and flight simulation methods across the Boeing enterprise.  Come join the Boeing Team!


Position Responsibilities:

  • Gathers, defines and documents system level requirements to support flight control and mission or trajectory requirements.
  • Participate in Minuteman III Guidance efforts to ensure End of Life (EOL) can be sustained or surpassed
  • Performs and documents design and analysis of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) models and tools.
  • Supports troubleshooting of routing operational anomalies, functional tests and services incidents.
  • Executes tests, performs analysis or simulation and design review per FAA, MIL-SPEC and NASA guidance to deliver a compliant product.
  • Supports development of solutions and disposition of issues to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Participates in new business development efforts.
  • Works under general supervision.

This position is expected to be onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Work Authorization:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 1+ years of experience with Guidance, Navigation, and Control engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink to model systems
  • Experience with simulation and / or system/component modeling
  • Experience with Kalman Filter design, estimation techniques
  • Experience with implementing algorithms in real time systems

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
