BR&T Manufacturing Technology Integration – Commercial (MTI-C) is seeking Senior Project Engineers to join our team within the Puget Sound region of Washington. Positions will have a primary location of Everett, WA. These positions will support top production, engineering, and fleet issues across all of Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) reporting to the MTI-C Senior Integration Leader and Chief Engineer. We are looking for candidates to make an immediate impact on urgent and long-term development, strategic initiatives, and program priorities.

You will build a strong network with the BR&T team across the enterprise supporting implementation and problem solving of a variety of technologies.  You will have abundant opportunities to lead projects that address complex technical problems and have a large amount of flexibility and diversity in your work.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides Engineering leadership support to a cross-functional team representing multiple skill areas and disciplines

  • Leads, develops, maintains, and identifies improvements to the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of projects related to materials, processes, requirements, tools, risks, issues, opportunities, root cause corrective action, and technology readiness assessment processes

  • Provides project management, leadership, strategic approaches, and actualize opportunities to materials and processes projects related to product safety, returning airplanes to delivery and service, production stability, and resolving complex supply chain issues

  • Lead cross-functional technical integration and project management across various BR&T teams supporting individual programs, fabrication, and supply chain

  • Communicate routinely with Internal and External Customers (peers, stakeholders, senior and executive leadership)

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 8+ years of experience leading cross functional teams or projects

  • Experienced leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives

  • Experienced in developing project or operational plans

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Project Management Certification (ex. PMP)

  • Experience building integrated project plans, schedules and/or budgets

  • Experience leading issues utilizing Root cause corrective action tools

  • Experience leading materials and processes teams

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
