Boeing is currently seeking Mid Level Methods Process Analyst to join their team in Seattle, WA.

These positions provides methods process analyst support to Boeing Test & Evaluation Organization, either in Lab Test or in Flight Test.

While the base location for this group is at North Boeing Field in Seattle or The Developmental Center in Tukwila, this position may include being based at other Puget Sound locations such as Everett or Renton for extended durations, and one needs to be able to travel between these locations as needed.  Must be willing to travel to remote sites for short durations to support Flight Test activities outside the Puget Sound area.

Position responsibilities

  • Analyze the current and future business environment and develop forecast, acquisition and utilization plans to optimize resources in support of company initiatives and program business plans
  • Develop test program labor hour estimates for new or revised work packages to support program business plans. Monitors performance to plan. Develop integrated plans
  • Implement improvements to processes by analyzing current processes and utilizing established improvement methodologies to maximize the efficiency of equipment and personnel and to support company improvement initiatives
  • Analyze changes to approved plans resulting from unplanned events
  • Assesses the impact of the changes that occur to cost, schedule, resources and delivery
  • Develops modifications to existing plans and obtains approval for plan changes
  • Participates in negotiations representing Fabrication Set-up and Test or Flight Test Maintenance to support schedule commitments or statement of work impacts
  • Develops, implements, maintains and status integrated shop operating plans to maximize the efficiency of equipment and personnel and to reduce inventory and meet cost and schedule commitments
  • Develops and supports shop performance metrics by analyzing data in order to recommend plan of action
  • Assess readiness of work statement components, provide status, and develop mitigation plans

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or higher
  • Experience leading a team or project, work independently and cross functionally
  • 1+ years of experience developing plans for integrated work statement across multiple programs or functions
  • Ability to walk, stand, and enter into aircraft via steps or ladders

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
  • Experience with working cross functionally with quality, manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and engine companies
  • Ability to gather data for process improvements, or to understand statement of work requirements 
  • Ability to observe and document processes, and collect data, in manufacturing areas or in aircraft during various production or test phases

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
